Prescribing for pharmacists at QUB

This 9-12 month PG Certificate course is for pharmacists in Northern Ireland who wish to practice as Supplementary and Independent Prescribers. It is accredited by both the Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland and the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) in Great Britain.

The course is delivered by the Northern Ireland Centre for Pharmacy Learning and Development (NICPLD). Pharmacists who complete this course can use it to gain credit towards our PG Diploma / MSc in clinical or community pharmacy programmes.

The course is also included in the MSc in Advanced Pharmacy Practice (with Independent Prescribing) programme.

The NICPLD prescribing course is funded by the Department of Health and is only open to pharmacists in Northern Ireland. Pharmacists who wish to enrol on the NICPLD prescribing course should contact NICPLD directly.
