If Biology is not studied to full A-level then GCSE Biology or Double Award Science is required.  In addition, students are expected to have passes in GCSE English Language and Mathematics.  When considering applications, all information provided in the UCAS application form is important.  In particular, the Selector will take into account GCSE results and AS grades achieved at the end of Year 13 when determining whether or not to offer a place.  The threshold varies from year to year depending on competition for places.  The final threshold is not usually determined until late in the application cycle (February-March).

Repeat applicants are considered individually on their merits and where offers are made, the standard required is AAA at A-level or AAB at A-level plus A in a fourth AS level.
