International Activities

 

The School has formal partnerships with a number of institutions accross the world in the areas of research, education collaboration and student mobility.

International Education Partnerships

The School has been collaborating with the Institut Teknologi Brunei in a joint programme whereby students come to Queen’s for the final year ofWorld Map the BEng having completed the first part of their studies in Brunei.  The School also works with Shenzhen University (SZU), China, in admitting students from the Joint Foundation Programme between SZU and Queen’s.

At postgraduate level the School has developed postgraduate collaborations with Zhejiang University, Ningbo Institute of Technology and Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology
 

International Student Mobility

Student mobility both outwards and inwards from Queen’s is supported via active participation in ERASMUS partnerships, Study Abroad partnerships,  BEI and IASTE participation and more recently the PMI2 student exchange programmes which involve exchanges student visits with Malaysia, India and China.  The School has a very successful history of inward and outward student participation in ERASMUS programmes and currently collaborates actively with Universities in Sweden, The Netherlands, Turkey, France, Belgium and Spain. International Committee

The School has a multipurpose International Committee which provides strategic focus to developing International Partnerships, supports international activities of the Education disciplines and Research Centres, and promotes international student recruitment and mobility.  It also provides a platform to support to cross discipline internationalisation activities as brought forward by School staff.  The committee develops an Annual International Marketing Plan in terms of International Recruitment to UG, PGT and PGR, Student mobility (inward and outwards) and Research Collaboration that compliments the work of the three main research Centres.  Membership includes Country Leaders, Directors of Research, Erasmus/Exchange Director and other lecturers and senior lecturers.  Activity is currently supported in the following markets:
