Applicants from other institutions must normally be able to demonstrate that they have taken and successfully completed Professional Studies at RIBA/ARB Part I and Part II to the satisfaction of the University. Professional experience at Part III level normally required within UK jurisdiction.
Candidates are expected to have a minimum of 24 months total professional training experience by the date of assessment. |

| This course provides exemption from the Royal Institute of British Architects Final Examination Part III and is recognised by the Architects Registration Board for the UK for the purposes of registration under the Acts. |

| Assessment: |
| Practical training record in conformance with the RIBA Log Book; two written examination papers; case study; assignments; CV and evaluation of experience; oral examination. Candidates must pass all of the elements to the satisfaction of the examiners in order to qualify. A certificate will be issued to successful candidates. |

Part III is the final examination in an architect\'s education and the foundation for life long learning and development as a member of the architectural profession.
Graduates who have successfully completed the professional practice and practical experience examination are eligible for chartered membership of the Royal Institute of British Architects and registration with the Architects Registration Board.
Part III is a combination of a minimum 7 years of an architect's education and training and marks the starting point of final professional status with its associated commitments to the Codes of Professional Conduct and Standards and to maintaining and developing professional knowledge and skills (Extract from ‘Tomorrow’s Architect’ 2003). |
