The School of Politics, International Studies and Philosophy is warmly welcoming International Students. We are proud of our International Student body and seek to further enhance the ‘internationality’ of the student experience. We are actively participating in exchange programs around the world and within the ERASMUS program framework. The School is offering incoming students from abroad a wide array of module options comprising courses in political studies, ethnic conflict, violence and conflict, International Relations, European Studies, philosophy, political economy and law & politics. Queen’s University Belfast is part of the Russell Group of the leading research university in the United Kingdom. Studying at the School

Queen’s University Belfast utilized the ECTS credit system. Incoming students to the School of PISP are asked to register for three modules per semester. The modules are worth 10 ECTS. How to Apply!

Exchange Student based outside the European Union or EU students that do not partake in the ERASMUS program should follow the following link for the applications.

The link offers guidance for undergraduate and postgraduate applications. If you are following the path to undergraduate applications you are provided with an online application form. The normal closing date is 20 June.

Erasmus students must be nominated by their home university in the first instance.  The nomination should be sent to the Exchange and Study Abroad Team at Queen's University Belfast.

The normal closing dates for return of completed application forms to the Exchange and Study Abroad Team are 21 June for students wishing to attend in Semester 1 or the full academic year, and 31 October for admission in Semester 2.

An application form will be sent to you by email, once we receive your nomination from your home university.  The email will also include information on accommodation, orientation, arrival dates, etc.
