Working title:

The nature of developing country participation in global financial governance: The case of India, South Africa and the G20.

Research Interests:

Broadly, international political economy and the politics of financial globalisation. For my PhD dissertation, my research will be focussed on the domestic politics of financial and monetary policy making (with particular reference to India and South Africa), the nature and structures of power in the (new) international financial architecture, areas of restricted participation and subordination in global financial governance, developmental agendas in the governance of global finance, and the nature, role and impact of the G20 group of finance ministries and central banks with regards global financial governance and the global financial architecture.
