“The Associational Enterprise: Association and the Formation of Ideas in the Post-Conflict Context”
I am interested primarily in the relationship between association and ideation, or the formation of ideas, and its significance to politics. My research involves a critical examination of the idea of ‘civil society’, an exploration of the expressive elements of association and an assessment of its role in ideational change. I will also examine the ‘rationalization’ of ‘civil society’, largely an effect of state-based funding, that is currently in progress. My research focuses on the post-conflict context and the role of these processes within it.
