The British Sociological Association is holding it's 2009
annual conference in Cardiff City Hall, on Thursday 16th - Saturday 18th April. Patricia Hill Collins of the University of Maryland, USA and Boaventura de Sousa Santos from the University of Coimbra, Portugal and University of Madison-Wisconsin, USA have been confirmed as plenary speakers. They will speak on topics relating to the 2009 conference theme 'The Challenge of Global Social Inquiry'. Further information is available from the BSA website or email BSAConference@britsoc.org.uk
The School will be holding it's Annual 'A' Level Sociology Conference on Thursday 5th February 2009 in the Whitla Hall. This year's theme is "Doing Sociological Research: Methods in Context" and the speakers include Dr Matt Wood, Dr Andrew Percy, Dr Sarah Moore and Robb Webb from the AQA Board of Examiners.
