The School of Sociology, Social Policy and Social Work offers the following graduate programmes:
The opportunities provided by the School include:
- Advanced training in social inquiry
- Advanced training in quantitative and qualitative methods
- Opportunities to study optional courses on Irish society and the Northern Ireland conflict in comparative perspective
- Opportunities to attain post-qualifying awards in social work (specific, specialist, and leadership and strategy awards)
- Opportunities to attain professional qualification in Systemic Psychotherapy/Family Therapy
- Opportunities to attain training requirements in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)
- Support to undertake original research and write a dissertation
- Courses led by social researchers experienced at working in one of the most difficult and socially divided research environments in Europe
- Courses may be taken either full- or part-time and up to Diploma level (without the research element)
Fees-only bursaries for 2013/14 entry
A limited number of Home/EU fees-only bursaries may become available for 2013/2014. Further details are to follow.
Applicants should indicate that they wish to be considered for funding at the appropriate place in the online application form. Those who have already been accepted for the above courses for 2013/14 entry will be contacted by the School regarding the bursaries.
