Practice Learning
Welcome to the Practice Learning webpage
The purpose of this resource is to provide easily accessible and useful information, from a student perspective, about a range of practice learning opportunities, and to help students prepare for their practice learning opportunity.
The project was undertaken by Audrey Roulston, Davy Hayes and Mandi MacDonald. The first phase of the project involved filming 19 students, talking about their experiences of practice learning across a range of settings and service user groups. This phase was supported by an award from the Queen’s Annual Fund and the video clips were professionally filmed by Amanda McKittrick (Video Services Manager / Educational Media Producer at QUB). They can be accessed via the ‘student experiences of practice learning’ link. The second phase of the project involved the development of this webpage, which was undertaken by Eyad Abu-Khiran (Computer Officer, School of Sociology, Social Policy and Social Work). This webpage will continue to be developed as a resource for students and practice teachers and will include PLO resources, recommended reading and guidance on PLO preparation.
