ST3008 Challenging Feminist Theory
This core module will introduce students to the theories, practices and debates surrounding Gender Studies. The starting point for this subject – woman – will be interrogated by looking at the ways this category has been theorised both within Gender Studies and outside of it. This means we will be looking at a variety of theories which have an interest in the category of woman ranging from liberal feminisms to postmodern feminism to queer theory.
