Queen’s is immensely proud of its graduates and how they have impacted our profession and society and spread all over the globe. The bonds we formed here remain strong for life and friendships unbreakable.
There will have been many changes since most of you embarked on your careers, even for recent graduates. The Ashby has been refurbished and refreshed and we hope you will enjoy the opportunity to tour the building and see what is happening in the School.
I would be delighted if you can come, meet old friends, share your legends and stories with them, and maybe inspire or impress past and future generations. Not least, I hope you can share some laughter and raise a toast to your fellow Queen’s engineers.
We will be launching and showcasing two books, written specifically for this event:
Learning to Create: 100 Years of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Degrees at Queen’s.
A history of electrical and mechanical engineering at Queen’s. Dedicated to the late Sir Bernard Crossland.
Pride and Progress.
An illustrated review of engineering/anecdotal events and experiences over the last one hundred years.
