Students and Staff in EEECS, QUB, 2009/10

In 2009/10 the School had approximately:

• 1000 undergraduate students,
• 220 postgraduate students (45% PhD students)
• 66 research staff
• 59 members of academic staff (16 full professors, including 1 Fellow of the Royal Society, 4 Fellows of the Royal Academy of Engineering and 3 IEEE Fellows.

Overall, females represented 22.5% of the School’s population (overview in Figure). Over the three years (2007-2010), the percentage of female undergraduates and postgraduates is in line with the UK national average for engineering and computer science.
