The School of Electronics, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (www.qub.ac.uk/school/eeecs) has an international reputation due to its far reaching research activities and many successes at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.
With over 50 academic staff and almost 1000 undergraduates, the School of Electronics, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science is accomplished in both research and teaching. In the 2008 RAE, 60% of its research was judged to be either internationally excellent or world leading. As a result, the School has attracted staff and students from over 70 countries worldwide.
Spanning 9 research clusters, the School's research-led ethos is evidenced by its creation and development of a number of major interdisciplinary research centres, including the Institute of Electronics, Communication and Information Technology (ECIT), a £40m world-class centre for research, incorporating the new £30m UK Innovation Knowledge Centre for Secure Information Technologies (CSIT).
