A number of Emily Sarah Montgomery Travel Scholarships are available for award in 2009-10. The Scholarships are open to postgraduate students who are enrolled as students for approved courses of study in this University and who intend to travel outside Ireland to undertake a period of research or further education. The award will include full or part payment of the travel and a contribution towards maintenance costs involved in the trip, up to a maximum of £650. The Emily Sarah Montgomery Travel Scholarship is tenable with any other University travel scholarship.
A number of Sir Thomas Dixon Travel Scholarships are available for award in 2009-10. The Scholarships are open to undergraduate or postgraduate students of Queen’s University intending to travel outside the British Isles in order to pursue cultural activities abroad. The award may include full or part payment of the travel and a contribution towards maintenance costs involved in the trip, up to a maximum of £600.
One First Trust Travel Scholarship is available for 2009-10. The Scholarship will be awarded to an undergraduate or postgraduate student who intends to travel outside the British Isles in order to extend his or her educational experience. The award will include full or part payment of the travel and a contribution towards maintenance costs involved in the trip, up to a maximum of £650. The First Trust Travel Scholarship is not tenable with any other travel scholarship or travel grant.
Note: Only one First Trust award is available, so applicants are advised to apply for other awards for which they are eligible.
