EEECS - Enterprise Awards
Training in innovation and entrepreneurship is a key part of the school’s postgraduate and undergraduate curriculum, building upon academic excellence and cutting edge research. Successful projects take part in national enterprise competitions competing against teams from other schools, universities and research and higher education institutes. The School of Electronics, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science has been very successful in enterprise competitions winning a number of top national enterprise awards by research and undergraduate students over the past 6 years.

- overall winner of the £25K Student Enterprise Competition (£10,000), October 2006
- “The most technologically innovative idea” prize winner of the All Island €40K Student Enterprise Competition (€5,000), May 2006
- runner-up prize winner of the All Island €40K Student Enterprise Competition (€3,000) May 2006
