Course Contents
The module introduces Educational Multimedia from an educational perspective, including a presentation of commonly used EMM terminology and an exploration of the contexts in which CBL might be used.
It reviews a variety of EMM approaches and examines the key issues involved in designing a teaching, instructional or pedagogical approach to courseware development..

Learning Outcomes
Students will demonstrate:
- knowledge of main learning theories and their application to EMM;
- knowledge of different EMM approaches and the ability to select appropriate strategies;
- understanding of analysis and design issues;
- ability to design and implement appropriate evaluation strategies;
- understanding of key issues in design;
- understanding of key developments and issues in technology-based learning (plagiarism, copyright etc) and indicate good practice.

- Understanding key theories of learning, recall of theories;
- analysis of given piece of EMM to identify underpinning theory.
