Course Contents

The aim is to introduce students to a specific scripting language.

The module will demonstrate how scripting may be used to enhance the content and effectiveness of an Educational Multimedia implementation. The module will show how generic techniques in scripting may be used to implement solutions to specific problems and will also give students a thorough understanding of how the nominated scripting language is used.

Learning Outcomes

The student will be able to:

  • use a specified multimedia scripting tool and its associated scripting language;
  • demonstrate advanced understanding of courseware engineering (use of flowcharts, pseudo code etc);
  • show good scripting techniques;
  • have the ability to transfer skills between scripting languages.

The student will show advanced knowledge of a specified multimedia authoring tool together with an awareness of good Educational Multimedia design.
