  2. Semiconductor models – covalent bonding model, energy band model
  3. Semiconductor carriers – electrons and holes, intrinsic and extrinsic materials
  4. Carrier modelling, carrier concentrations
  5. Carrier action – diffusion, drift, recombination/generation
  6. Semiconductor devices – diode fabrication and operation, MOS transistor fabrication and operation properties
  7. Boolean algebra, logic gates, function minimisation, Karnaugh maps
  8. Combinational logic, NAND/NOR implementations, MSI functions, sequential logic
  9. Diode and transistor characteristics, diode circuits
  10. D.C. analysis of BJT circuits, bias stabilisation
  11. Operational amplifiers
