Course Contents

Number systems and conversion. Combinational logic design: Boolean functions; Boolean minimisation using Boolean Algebraic Theorems, Karnaugh Maps and Quine McCluskey. Sequential logic design: flip-flops; Master-Slave flip-flops; counter design; and shift registers. Design using multiple output networks: ROMs; PLDs, FPGAs.
