The industrial project involves the development of a business idea and the accompanying business plan for a start-up company.
A team of 6 students investigates the business, financial, marketing and design aspects of a product idea and develop a company start-up and marketing strategies and expand the operation into a profitable business. Each team develops a detailed business plan and a technical report at a standard expected by investors such as banks, venture capitalists and InvestNI.
Finally each team gives a presentation outlining their business proposition to a selected panel composed of accountants, venture capitalists, bankers and engineers.
This module will have continuous interaction with Professional Studies 4 project work.
Duplicate copies of the Professional Studies report will be submitted to the supervisor of Industrial Project 4 and to the Project Management supervisor.
The presentation associated with Professional Studies will also be assessed from a technical aspect.
