Enrolment and Registration

ENROLMENT AND REGISTRATION

Before you commence your studies you must complete Enrolment and Registration using the online Registration Wizard. The Wizard will be available to all students from 12th September. The Registration Wizard will guide you through the process of Enrolment and Registration and will include online help on how to complete the various stages.  Please note that you must complete all 10 steps of the Registration Wizard before the first day of term/semester.

N.B. If you do not complete registration in full by 5th October you will be withdrawn by the University and should you wish to readmitted you will be charged a fee of £50. It is imperative that you contact the School Office prior to 5th October if you have extenuating circumstances that prevent you from completing registration on time +44 (0) 28 9097 4669.

For students entering Level 1 (excluding BIT)

  • You will already have been enrolled onto all of your modules by the School.
  • You will be required to complete the rest of enrolment and registration by no later than the 5th October 2012.
  • Please ensure that you bring all the information requested of you by the University to complete the finance and matriculation sections of enrolment and registration.

For students entering Level 1 Business Information Technology

  • You will already have been on the Computer Science modules by the School but you are still required to enrol yourself on the following Management modules:

MGT1006 History and Philosophy of Management

MGT1010 Information and Organisations

ACC1002 Accounting for non-specialists

  • You will be required to complete the rest of enrolment and registration by no later than the 5th October 2012.
  • Please ensure that you bring all the information requested of you by the University to complete the finance and matriculation sections of enrolment and registration.

For new students entering Level 2

  • Detailed module advice will be provided to you at the induction event on Tuesday 18th September.
  • You will be required to complete the rest of enrolment and registration by no later than the 5th October 2012.
  • Please ensure that you bring all the information requested of you by the University to complete the finance and matriculation sections of enrolment and registration.

For Returning Students

Please refer to the information already sent to you by the School and University.

Students who have successfully passed all of the modules for which they were enrolled during the 2011/12 academic year (or CIT students who have failed CSC1012 but have passed all other Level 1 modules and are continuing on the CIT pathway) can enrol themselves for the 2012/2013 academic year in Step 9 on the online QSIS registration process.

However, if you fall into one of the categories below then you must attend for enrolment during one of the sessions in the Bernard Crossland Building so that your academic enrolment can be discussed and completed.

  1. If you are returning from a temporary withdrawal and have not been informed that you can enrol yourself
  2. If you are a part-time student
  3. If you are changing your degree pathway and have not been informed that you can enrol yourself
  4. If you are changing from a placement to a non-placement pathway and have not been informed that you can enrol yourself
  5. If you have not passed all the modules for which you were enrolled during 2011/2012 academic year

 

Bernard Crossland Building Enrolment Sessions

Monday 17th September                10am – noon and 2pm – 4pm

Tuesday 18th September                10am – noon and 2pm – 4pm

Wednesday 19th September       10am – noon

 

NOTE:  If you want to attend one of the enrolment sessions instead of following the instructions in the tables below (or if you want to discuss your choices of modules) then just attend one of the enrolment sessions in the Bernard Crossland Building detailed at the end of the previous page.
