Introduction to the concepts and processes of Environmental Impact Assessment and to the EU EIA Directive. Workshop on State of the Art Methods for Assessing Water, Air, and Noise Impacts and Ecological Social and Health Impacts. Site visit to an Annex 1 project under the EU EIA Directive to inspect and assess potential impacts on the environment and mitigation measures in place.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the module students will be able to demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of environmental assessment and have had experience of carrying out an environmental impact assessment.
