"A degree in Geography at Queens gave me a chance to explore a huge range of topics that interested me … In addition to the interesting course content, I was able to obtain a range of transferable and highly employable skills in presentation, research, and data handling. Because of this scope of learning, as a geography graduate I have a list of options for employment and further study, which most courses do not offer."
"As for the city, I have had a real good time living in Belfast. The size of the city combined with the location of campus makes it easy to get from point A to B, walking or catching a bus. There is plenty to do, both activities tied to the university and outside, and with a capital city just two hours to the south it is hard to get bored. People have been very friendly as well and it did not take long until I had new friends. Overall, it has been a great experience and I look forward to the next two years."
"The atmosphere was so warm and friendly, the quality of lectures superb and constructive feedback provided."
"Over the three years, nearly all the staff had the opportunity to teach you, so you were able to recognise and build relationships with staff."
"I felt I belonged to the School. The lecturers were approachable and made an effort to get to know you. You could ask them questions."
"I enjoyed the entire three years especially the team-work because we got to meet new people. I have made a lot of good friends through studying Geography."
"I found the programme offered lots of variety. It stimulated my interest in travelling, which is what I intend to do on graduation. It opens up a wide range of career paths."
"The Geography programme at QUB helped me find new interests I did not have before, helped my confidence grow, and guided me in my choice of career"
