Northern Ireland Medical and Dental Training Agency (NIMDTA)

NIMDTA is responsible for funding, managing and supporting postgraduate medical and dental education within the Northern Ireland Deanery. It provides a range of services for those engaged in the delivery of postgraduate Medical and Dental education and training. Website: http://www.nimdta.gov.uk/

The Foundation Programme

The Foundation Programme represents the first two years of training after graduation.  Their website will tell you how to apply to the Foundation Programme, what to expect during your training, how assessments work, how to get the most out of your Foundation Learning Portfolio and what resources are available to help you decide on your future career.  Website: http://www.foundationprogramme.nhs.uk/

British Medical Association (BMA)

The BMA is the professional association and trade union for doctors.  It supports members through every step of their career and gives employment advice and support.  Website: http://www.bma.org.uk/

Queen's Career Advisory Service

The Queen's Careers Advisory Service offer extensive resources such as free CV workshops, internet access, coaching on interview techniques and assistance with job applications. You will also be able to obtain more generic career advice particularly for careers not related to medicine.
