The AF2 programme offers 4 month placements and enables the holder to gain insights into clinical academic medicine through regular interactions with the Academic Clinical Supervisors (Medical Education or Research), Scientific staff and Postgraduate Research students. This placement is designed to develop knowledge, skills and aptitudes for academic medicine and to foster interest in a long-term clinical academic career.

There will be opportunity to join on-call rotas which are organised prior to the commencement of the F2 placement. Each postholder will have an academic clinical supervisor.
