Gael Linn

It aims to promote and support the Irish language and its heritage all over the island of Ireland.

Every year it runs a variety of events for pupils of Irish in Northern Ireland:

Tráth na gCeist- This quiz aims to provide students of Irish the opportunity to hear the language being spoken outside the classroom at an informal and light-hearted event. For more information, including venues and dates, click here.

Abair- This public speaking competition is for pupils of Irish studying for GCSE and AS/A2 level. For more information click here.

Coirm Festivals- These are aimed at primary pupils and each school is asked to perform a 20-minute variety show in Irish for an audience of other participating schools. Click here for more information.

Gaeltacht Courses– These are courses for students which take place in Gaelic speaking regions across Ireland. For more information click here

Gaelbhratach- This is a new scheme for primary and post primary schools, funded by Foras na Gaeilge and organised by Gael Linn. Click here for more information.
