Students are introduced to the area of animal behaviour in Level 2, as part of the compulsory Psychobiology module (PSY2053), the teaching of animal behaviour and welfare continues in greater depth on the optional Animal Behaviour module (PSY3075) at Level 3.

All lectures draw heavily on the most recently published literature on animal behaviour and welfare.

A field trip, in the form of a visit to Belfast Zoological Gardens, is offered at Level 3.
