MSc in Psychology of Performance Enhancement in Sport and Health

In September 2012, the School of Psychology at Queen’s University Belfast (QUB) will launch a new MSc in Psychology of Performance Enhancement in Sport and Health.  As it will be the only Masters course of its kind in the UK, we anticipate that it will be of particular interest to individuals who either work or hope to work in the Sport or Healthcare sectors.

It will address such issues as:

  • What are the psychological factors that influence movement performance?
  • How can we use psychological theories to help us evaluate and improve performance in sport and health?
  • What role does technology play?
  • What interventions exist and how can new interventions be designed to help improve performance?

The School of Psychology at QUB has a world class reputation for research in perception/action psychology in sport and health related contexts (http://www.qub.ac.uk/parl/). Students will have access to the new Movement Innovation Lab, housed in the Physical Education Centre (PEC) that contains state of the art technology for measuring and understanding performance.

Application deadline: 30th June 2014 (soft close), August 25th 2014 (Final Call).
