The Marine Biological Association Postgraduate Conference is an annual scientific gathering of postgraduate students doing research in marine biology and related fields. The event serves as an invaluable oportunity to present your research to other fellow students and marine biologists in a friendly environment.
The 8th MBA Postgraduate Conference will be proudly hosted for the first time by Queen's University Belfast from 16th to 19th May 2011. Queen's University Belfast and the School of Biological Sciences have a long history of research in marine biology. Several marine research projects are currently undertaken by students based in the main MBC building in Belfast while Queen's University Marine Laboratory located in Portaferry is host to a group of resident staff and postgraduate students involved in a diverse range of projects such as algal biofuels, restoration of horse mussel reefs and marine current turbines to mention just a few.
