The Waterfront Hotel is located in Belfast City Centre and is easily accessible by bus, train or on foot. Belfast Waterfront is located in Lanyon Place beside the River Lagan and is approximately five minutes’ walk from the city centre – just follow the directions from Belfast City Hall towards Chichester Street. Cross at the traffic lights on Victoria Street, continue past the law courts and then cross at the traffic lights on Oxford Street, the venue located next to the Belfast Hilton Hotel.

To get to the Waterfront Hall, the following information may be useful:

 

By air:

Belfast is easily reached from either Belfast International Airport or the George Best Belfast City Airport. Belfast City Airport (BHD) is situated approximately three miles from the city centre. A taxi to the Waterfront Hall will cost approximately £8.00.  The Airport Express 600 departs from outside the Airport every 20 minutes from early morning to late evening. Belfast City Airport is also located close to the Sydenham rail halt with services to Central Station.

 

Belfast International Airport (BFS) at Aldergrove is situated about 20 miles from the city centre. The Airport Express 300 service operates a 24 hour service between the airport and Belfast with buses departing every 15 minutes throughout the day. The bus leaves from the bus stop located opposite the terminal exit. Approximate journey time is 30-40 minutes subject to traffic conditions.

 

Dublin Airport is approximately 100 miles from Belfast City Centra. The direct journey by bus takes approximately 1 hour 50 minutes. Bus EireannUlsterbus and Aircoach operate a 24 hour service between Dublin Airport and Belfast.

 

By sea:

Belfast is easy accessed by sea crossing from Great Britain by ferry. The following operators run ferries across the Irish Sea:

Larne-Cairnryan: P&O European Ferries

By train:

The closest railway station to the Waterfront Hall is Central Station and is 5 minutes' walking distance away. The station is served by Northern Ireland Railways and is the terminus for the Enterprise train service linking Belfast with Dublin with onward connections availabale to cities such as Cork and Limerick.

 

By bus:

The Belfast Waterfront is served by the local Belfast bus network, known as Metro. There are bus stops located on Oxford Street and East Bridge Street. More information and service timetables please visit the Metro website

 

By taxi:

Belfast is served by both public and private hire taxis. Public hire taxis can be hailed from the street or from dedicated taxi ranks. Private hire taxis must be booked in advance. The two largest firms are;

By car:

It is advisable that those seeking to travel by car utilise the various secure car parking facilities in Belfast city centre as street parking is limited and in some cases prohibited close to the conference centre. There are several multi-storey car parking facilities located close to the Waterfront Hall.
