Queen’s is promoting a more innovative learning and assessment environment for students. As part of this, we have reviewed the amount of assessment which students are currently required to undertake, and are challenging an assumption that examinations should be the predominant method of end-of-module assessment.
This has required developments in relation to the structure and assessment cycle of the academic year for undergraduate and postgraduate taught programmes.

Development Weeks provide space within the academic year for students to engage in a variety of activities that will compliment learning within their degree programme and provide the opportunity to gain skills and knowledge beyond their degree.
