What did you study for your undergraduate degree?‌MSc Cyber Security Student

“I studied Computer Networking in the Hochschule Furtwangen University in Furtwangen, Germany”

What aspect of the MSc Cyber Security course did you enjoy most?

“I really enjoyed the Cyber Security course, especially the research project. Being in industry and working on a project that was later used in that organisation was what I enjoyed most.”

What company did you work for on your research placement?

“I conducted my research placement in THALES UK, England”

Why did you choose to study at Queen’s University Belfast?

“I chose Queen’s University and the MSc Cyber Security course because of the close connection they have with industry, through industrial guest lecturers and the final year research project”

Tell us about your research

“My research project focused on Network Anomaly and Intrusion Detection, I made new approaches that haven’t been investigated before.”

Would you recommend the MSc Cyber Security at Queen’s University Belfast?

“I definitely recommend the MSc Cyber Security course at Queen’s University Belfast. I have learnt a lot, it’s the bases of what the industry expect and it’s a great opportunity to get that knowledge”

What are your plans once you graduate?

“I plan to attend the New South Wales University in Australia where I will study my PhD in Network Intrusion Detection and Cyber Security”
