Cloud Computing has become the 5th utility of the world’s demand by providing services that are marketed and delivered in a similar manner to traditional utilities of electricity, gas, water and telephony. The simplicity and scalability that cloud computing offers has attracted the attention of both users and organizations. However, the security of cloud computing service providing confidentiality, verifiability, integrity, availability, accountability, disaster recovery/backup and identity management still a big issue to be resolved for efficient use of cloud computing services.

At CSIT, significant research has been undertaken in the area of malware detection by means of support vector machine and securing virtualized environments by means of traffic forensic technologies. Our cloud security research builds upon these expertises, exploring security challenges of cloud infrastructure, platform, applications and services with the mission to drive advanced cloud securities technologies.
