Cars
A key aim of Queen's Travel Plan is to reduce the numer of single occupancy car journeys to the University. Since the introduction of the first Travel Plan in 2005 the number has reduced by 4 per cent for staff, however, the University wants to improve this figure. In the 2010 University Travel Survey 41 per cent of staff and 21 per cent of students said they travelled to Queen's in unsustainable modes - single occupancy journeys.
Car Share Scheme
The University has a car share scheme for staff and students who have to drive on a regular basis to the University. The scheme enables staff and students to find a potential car sharer, thereby reducing the number of singel occupancy journeys.

Car Parking
Parking space for vehicles within the University car parks is limited and unfortunately it is not possible for the University to meet all the car parking needs of staff. Staff can apply for a car parking space through Queen’s Online, however, both staff and students are encouraged to use alternative forms of transport to and from the University.
