Walking
The 2010 'Travel to Work' survey carried out by Queen's revealed that just over 41 per cent of students walk to the University on a daily basis, while the figure for staff was just over 15 per cent.
Walking is an excellent way to build physical activity into your daily routine. It can also be combined with other transport modes, particularly car-sharing and public transport. Great benefits are attached to walking: it is healthy, requires little space and virtually everyone can participate.
