What can you do?
As more than 40 per cent of the UK’s CO2 emissions result from the choices we make as individuals, we can take action on this global issue by reducing our own CO2 emissions. 50 per cent of Queen’s emissions are under the direct control of the end user, so staff and students have a key role to play improving the University’s environmental performance.
Small every-day changes, which don’t take up a lot of time or cost us money, can make a huge impact when it comes to reducing our carbon emissions whether that be at home, work or at university. There are loads of simple cost-effective steps you can take to reduce your carbon footprint, from recycling and fitting energy saving light bulbs to switching off electrical equipment and making carbon friendly home improvements. Everyone has a role play and together we can bring about real change.
