Scholarships

The Organising Committee of the European Conference on Domestic Violence are pleased to announce the availability of 20 scholarships for delegates from economically developing countries in the European region. The criteria for application are that:

- Applicants must be based in the following countries, defined as low-middle income by the World Bank: Albania; Armenia; Azerbaijan; Belarus; Bosnia and Herzegovina; Bulgaria; Croatia; Faeroe Islands; Georgia; Greenland; Hungary; Kosovo;  Moldova; Montenegro; Romania; Serbia; Turkey; Ukraine

- Applicants must have had an abstract accepted to present at the conference

Half of the Scholarships are reserved for individuals who work for NGOs in the above countries.

The Scholarship will ONLY cover the following costs:

- Registration for the whole conference

- Attendance at all social events

- Attendance at the conference dinner

Those in receipt of a scholarship are responsible for their:

- Visa Application

- Travel costs to and from the conference

- Accommodation costs during the conference

If you would like to apply for a scholarship please follow this process:

- Submit your abstract at http://www.qub.ac.uk/sites/ECDV2015/AbstractSubmission/ by 10th January 2015

- Send an email stating who you are, the number of your abstract (this is provided at the time of submission), where you work and a request for a scholarship to dvconference@qub.ac.uk by 30th january 2015.

You will be notified by 31st March 2015 about whether your abstract has been accepted for the conference and whether you have been awarded a scholarship.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation notice must be made in writing. If written cancellation is received before 30 June 2015, 90% of registration fees will be refunded. Cancellations and refund requests received after 30 June 2015 will not be accepted. All fees are non-refundable after 30 June 2015. Unfortunately, under no circumstances can we issue refunds for no-shows.
