Internships and Placements

At Queen's University we strongly encourage our students to take up internship, placement and other work experience opportunities throughout their University life. Whilst the benefits for students are huge, by offering a range of placement opportunities employers can:

  • Get access to fresh talent for relatively low costs
  • Identify quality talent early
  • Initiate or complete projects
  • Improve their graduate pipeline
  • Raise their profile on campus
  • Provide opportunities to establish student champions and brand ambassadors

Across our disciplines we can accommodate a range of placement and internship types including

  • Graduate internships (Santander Universities Supported)
  • 2 or 3 month internships and placements, ideal for summer (Santander Universities Supported)
  • Year long and six month placements for compulsory and optional pathways
  • Short term placements from 1 week to 1 month
  • Term time project placement (15-20 days over term)
  • Insight and work shadow days

Our Santander Universities supported internships include varying levels of financial support depending on wehter you are an SME, community and voluntary sector organisation or a social enterprise. We also have a limited number of 1 month funded placements for public sector organisations. To find out more click here
