Roundtable 2

Speakers:

Niall Crowley, Director, Equality Authority

Claire O'Connor, Director, National Disability Authority

Philip Watt, Director, National Consultative Committee on Racism and Interculturalism

The 2nd Public Dialogue meeting of the series was held on Thursday, 25th November 2004. It was great to see such a high level of interest once again. Niall Crowley (Equality Authority), Claire O’Connor (National Disability Authority) and Philip Watt (National Consultative Committee on Racism and Interculturalism) were speakers at this session, with John Baker as Chair. As with the first meeting, each speaker discussed the book in relation to their own field, pointing out what they found useful, while challenging the authors on issues they felt needed to be addressed further. A lively dialogue ensued once the Chair opened up the session to the floor, with discussions carrying on into the evening over informal drinks.
