Fourth Public Dialogue on Equality from Theory to Action

Equality: From Theory to Action (Palgrave Macmillan, 2004) is an interdisciplinary book co-authored by staff of the Equality Studies Centre, University College Dublin. It sets out a radical model of equality and proposes policies aimed at transforming social institutions.

Throughout 2004-05 a number of key stakeholders are responding to the critical ideas set out in the book. The fourth dialogue event will involve the following representatives from Irish political parties of the left*:

Alex White, The Labour Party

Mary Lou Mc Donald, Sinn Féin

Paul Murphy, The Socialist Party

Kieran Allen, The Socialist Workers Party

*Representatives of Fianna Fáil, Fine Gael, The Green Party and the

Progressive Democrats are taking part in a separate event on Monday 7th of March
