The GIS Unit located in the School of Geography, Archaeology and Palaeoecology, has responsibility for research and teaching in the field of Geographical Information (GI) Science. We specialise in the collection, manipulation and analysis of a wide variety of different kinds of spatial information. Our work is concerned equally with the physical and social sciences.
GIS, GPS and Remote Sensing research and teaching is supported by a dedicated GIS and Image Analysis Laboratory located in the School of Geography, Archaeology and Palaeoecology.
