The Higher Education for Democratic Innovation Global Forum 2014 will gather some 100-150 higher education leaders, representatives of public authorities and NGOs from the United States, Europe and other parts of the world.

The main outcomes of the conference will include:

  • A publication in the Council of Europe Higher Education Series based on the presentations
  • An increased commitment to assuring the role of higher education in democratic innovation and making democracy a key part of the missions of higher education bodies and institutions
  • A possible research project focusing on the main areas covered by the conference
