Structure of the Conference

The organisation and structure of the programme conference will follow the successful format of previous conferences and will include:

  • Keynote speakers
  • Plenary and featured speakers
  • Symposia, paper presentations, posters and workshops

Contributions to the programme are invited from researchers, policy-makers and practitioners, and from the private and public sectors.

Conference Structure

Friday 17 June 2011:

Northern Ireland School Visits - visits can only be held on this date due to Northern Ireland school year term dates. Visits will be arranged if there is sufficient interest. No charge is associated with these events.

Saturday 18 June 2011:

Pre-Conference Workshops - The Conference Committee would like to host 4 pre-Conference Workshops. The Workshop rate is £130 and  are only available to conference participants. 

Sunday 19 June 2011:   

Welcome Reception in the Evening at 7.00 pm (included in Conference Registration Rate)

Monday 20 June 2011:  

Opening Ceremony and Main Programme begins at 9.00 am

Civic Reception at the historic Belfast City Hall (included in Conference Registration Rate)

Wednesday 22 June 2011:

Conference Irish Themed Night and Supper in the Europa Hotel, Belfast (not included in Conference Registration Rate). Tickets £45 per person. Experience an evening of traditional Irish food, music and dance. This includes drinks on arrival, an Irish themed main course with side orders, a glass of wine followed by dessert. Traditional Irish Music and entertainment is included in the price.

Friday 24  June 2011:   

Conference will end at 1.00 pm with Closing Ceremony
