Welcome to Queen's University Belfast's homepage for the Prime Minister's Initiative for 'China-UK Collaborative Partnerships in Employability and Entrepreneurship' project.
Throughout 2011 and 2012, The School of Planning, Architecture and Civil Engineering at Queen's University received funding from British Council and undertook two phases of project work as part of this initiative.
The key deliverables from the work included:
- Developed, and strengthened existing, collaborative partnerships with leading Chinese academic institutions;
- Organised and participated in workshops and seminars in both UK and China to exchange ideas and best practice regarding employability and entrepreneurship;
- Undertake reviews of academic curricula from each partnering organisation to explore opportunities for improving student's employability and entrepreneurship;
- Developed a suite of state-of-the-art e-learning materials to facilitate enhanced student knowledge in particular growth markets within the discipline of civil engineering.
