The PG Voice is a dedicated ezine for postgraduate students at Queen's University Belfast.
It is run by postgraduate students, and encourages all 8000 popstgrads to get involved.
We are a liberal magazine, so students are encouraged to write opinion pieces. This is not neccessarily echoing the views of the editorial team.
Read it here: http://pgvoice.wordpress.com/
Yes! We always welcome new contributors, and articles can be on anything of interest - news, reviews, sport, art, culture, soaps, recipes, travel writing, photography, poetry, festival guides... wherever your creativity takes you is fine with us!
Email submissions to: pg.voice@qub.ac.uk
Copy is generally due by the 20th of each month. We aim to have an editorial meeting on the 5th of each month, but this is often subject to change - email us if you'd like to be put on the staff list.
Most contributors are postgrad students with heavy work loads, so we work on a freelance basis - you can submit an article once, or every month. Some students like to have a monthly column. Just ask us.
The magazine is currently being run by Cat McGurren and Audrey Robitaillie, but we are exhausted PhD students attempting to complete our theses, and looking to hand over to fresh young blood... let us know if you are interested.
We are happy to accept ads that directly interest PG students - such as upcoming conferences, interesting gigs or events in the city.
For other enquiries, email us at pg.voice@qub.ac.uk
If writing isn't your thing, you can always join the editorial team. Duties include proofreading submissions, managing the email account, uploading docs, and maintaining our webspace.
