Recruitment of Mentees from 1st Year Intake

Peer Mentoring

 

Mentees will be assigned a mentor who will be in 2nd or 3rd year of their PhD cycle and whose role is to be available to guide, help or support mentees at the early stages of your research degree.  It is important that this happens as close to Induction as possible as this is the time when the new research student is likely to meed a lot of information.

 

School Procedures for Assigning Mentees:

Schools assign mentors in different ways:

  • By advertsing the scheme and inviting new students to opt in if they want a peer mentor

Or

  • By assigning a peer mentor to all new research students
