Estates staff raise £14,000 for Oscar Knox
Director of Estates Gary Jebb volunteered to take part in the waxing event to raise money for the Oscar Knox Appeal
The Estates Directorate has raised £14,000 for Oscar Knox, the four-year old who is fighting neuroblastoma, a very aggressive cancer that affects babies and little children.
Over the past few weeks staff from the Directorate have held a bag packing event at Sainsbury’s Sprucefield, organised a raffle and convinced three senior members of University staff to get their legs waxed in aid of the Oscar Knox Appeal.
Head of Estates Services Peter Erwin, Director of Estates Gary Jebb and Pro-Vice-Chancellor Professor Tony Gallagher volunteered to take part in the waxing to help to raise money for potentially life-saving treatment for Oscar, whose father Stephen used to work at Queen’s.
The Estates Directorate would like to thank all those who generously supported the appeal.
