Christmas comes early thanks to research staff

The Porters Christmas Toy Appeal has received an early boost thanks to the participation of Queen’s contract research staff in an online survey.

For every questionnaire completed by research staff in the Careers in Research Online Survey (CROS), £1 was donated to the Toy Appeal. A total of £135 was donated.

The CROS is part of the process of reviewing the training and development needs of contract research staff.  The survey is conducted by Vitae, a national organisation that promotes the development of researchers and involves Universities from across the UK.

Results from the survey provide information to assist in the planning of researcher's skills and career development activities. The Staff Training and Development Unit co-ordinated Queen’s participation in CROS.
