ECIT is the anchor tenant of the Northern Ireland Science Park and brings together pioneering research groups in key areas of advanced digital and communications technology.
After being welcomed to ECIT by its Director, Professor John McCanny, the Committee was given a tour of the facilities and heard about the exciting work taking place in the Institute, including research on Smart Card Technology from Professor Maire O’Neill, developments in Cyber Security from Professor Sakir Sezer and work on novel Antenna for Mobile Communication from Dr Neil Buchanan.
The Committee then heard from Steve Orr, Director of NISP Connect, Norman Apsley, Chief Executive Officer of the Northern Ireland Science Park and Mary Walshok, founder of Connect San Diego.
